I'm debating the best course of action and really can't decide, so I'm going to ponder it by writing about it. This is nothing earth shaking. I simply have an hour and a half to eat something before taking Delia to pre-school, and I can't decide which is the worse idea-- eating or not eating.
I've been sick for several days and, over the weekend, stuck to saltines, cup o' soup and ramen noodles (the ramen noodles were a mistake. More because the serving was large than because they upset my tummy). I can also manage hard candies and other basic sugary stuff (but not chocolate). I'm better today because, unlike Saturday and Sunday, I didn't wake up with a migraine caused by sinus pressure, but I'm still dubious about eating much.
I've had a plain, leftover waffle already, and I think it was too greasy. I'm not sure if I should just eat and endure the resulting discomfort or if I should not eat and deal with the resulting exhaustion, weakness and lightheadedness.
I wouldn't worry so much if I weren't about to take Delia out. For some strange reason, I'm reluctant to be spaced out when I'm taking her somewhere. Then again, I can do the trip to pre-school on autopilot. I've done it before. I just don't like doing it.
So what's worse-- nausea and/or tummyache (with the odor of exhaust fumes making it worse) or exhaustion, lightheadedness and so on?
I'll probably pack something to take with me, food-wise. If I'm too dead on my feet, catching the bus home is hard. For the trip home, I think I'd rather be feeling sick than lightheaded. I'd rather not carry anything extra, but having the option to eat (or eat more) if I judge it necessary can only be a Good Thing. Right?
