Last week, Delia had Quest Camp for three hours a day. Quest Camp is at her school this year. Otherwise we wouldn't have been able to do it. I signed her up for 'multi-sports.' They played different sports every day. She was, unfortunately, the only girl in the group. She still had a lot of fun.

This week, Delia's at camp at the Leslie Science and Nature Center. It's so hot that I kind of hate the idea of her outside, running around, all day, but she seems to be enjoying it. She's been eager to get home afterward, wanting the air conditioning and fans, but she's eager to go every day, too. Today, they're going on a field trip to the Farmers' Market. I hope Delia actually takes her water bottle with her and drinks from it. It's too hot to go without water for three hours.

Scott's expecting a lot of overtime. Someone on third shift is out for six months with a severed Achille's tendon. Someone on Scott's shift is out for hernia surgery. Add in all the vacations, and there's a lot of time to be covered. So far, he's mostly escaped, but he'll likely have at least one twelve hour day this week. He may have to work the weekend, too. We'll see.

I'm working on my story for the Parallels Fic exchange. It's not going really well. I'm past the minimum word count, but nothing's happened, and I don't know what should happen. I've got until 1 August to pull this thing together.
