The health issues sound so frustrating. The obvious step is the one you can't take ie some form of glucose before bed time. But I assume even a spoon of some form of sugar in water or a form of glucose tablet would upset your system and careful balance. Though perhaps a little ice cream each night before bed could stop you feeling so bad in the morning and stop the crash cycle before it starts?
