I've bounced off of River of Teeth a couple of times, too. I keep thinking that I should go back to it, because so many other people think well of it, but it just doesn't appeal to me for some reason.

I'm hoping the Magic for Liars will be more to my taste; I'm waiting for it to be available from the library.
