On the colonoscopy front -- I just had one, and the alternate solution (Miralax plus my choice of Gatorade flavor) worked better for me than the Golytely solution from the previous time. No idea if that'll work with your food sensitivities, of course. Just that if it's presented as an option, it's worth considering.
