Jan was the only person in our family who had Apple computers, and he stopped because they tended to get into exactly that type of situation -- where you *have* to upgrade in order to keep running something, but you can only upgrade that by paying to upgrade the operating system, and then that version of the operating system won't run on your computer anyway. Maddening!
