It's definitely a good time. The treatment protocols have changed in the last couple of years. My sister did a ton of research because it helped her anxiety (as far as I can tell, she was pretty good at picking reputable sources and at triple checking what she found). Also, we have a sister-in-law who's a vascular surgeon at a large hospital, and she checked both of our treatment plans with coworkers who know the field.

I count myself as very fortunate to be in Ann Arbor because there's a dedicated cancer center at the University of Michigan Hospital. People travel for hours to get there for appointments. I only had to go ten minutes.
