Whatever fandom we matched on, I'm going to be thrilled to get a fic. I may have more to say about some fandoms than others, but that doesn't mean I love any of them less.

I'll read gen, het, and M/M or F/F slash, but I'm tending more toward gen these days. I'll read any pairing (or none!) and also threesomes and moresomes, but I prefer to avoid incest (I’m fine with it in The Chronicles of Amber) or underage (under 18) sex. I'll read any rating but am tending more toward G and PG fics right now. One of the fandoms I'm requesting is intended for kids, and I'd prefer, in that case, to avoid anything explicit.

I like crossovers, but I'm not familiar with a lot of the big, currently popular, western media fandoms. I like missing scenes and stories that expand on backstory. I don't mind angst, but I like to see the pain buy something, even if it's just character growth. I like divergent AUs, the sort where one detail changes and differences ripple out from there. I like time travel stories of various types. I like five things stories.

I dislike zombies, vampires and unicorns. I'm really upset by child harm. Horror, in general, is not for me. I don't like transplant AUs, the kind where they're all suddenly in a rock band or whatever. I'm deeply uncomfortable with most RPF; the exception is if all the real people have been dead at least a hundred years. I’m not into A/B/O or soulbonds.

I don't particularly care if the story is in the style of canon as long as the characters are recognizably themselves. Sometimes a change in style gives an entirely new view of characters or events. I’m fine with first or third person and willing to try second person. Past tense and present tense are also both fine. I have trouble reading poetry and so would prefer to avoid it.

I’m open to Crueltide options on any of these fandoms except Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman, but I would enjoy non-Crueltide options, too.

All of my posted fic but one permanently incomplete story can be found at AO3 under the name [archiveofourown.org profile] the_rck. I like other things, too, beyond what I write, but the stories are there if you want to take a look.

Chronicles of Amber - Roger Zelazny
(Dara)
- There are large parts of Dara’s life that we never see. Did she have siblings? Was there competition to see who would be 'Benedict’s granddaughter' and seduce Corwin? When did she marry? The things Merlin says imply that he grew up with his half-brothers, but Oberon seemed to think Dara could marry Corwin. When did she meet Oberon and how? How did she come to capture Corwin, how long did she hold him, and what did she do with him? Did she ever spend time wandering in Shadow? She says at one point that she introduced Brand and Jasra. How did that happen and why?

My assumption, in dealing with the Merlin books, is that Merlin lies a lot, possibly in order to make himself look less threatening. It’s the best I can do in addressing the fundamental brokenness of that half of the series. I’ve written more with Merlin because more bits of it snag my attention as needing to be addressed. I prefer the Corwin books, generally speaking, and very much like the sense that the characters have long histories.

Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman (any) - In this fandom, I am only interested in the fictional characters. If you’re writing this and need Fetchers, please just make some up. I do not want RPF here. I’m also not interested anything particularly dark or in sex here.

Ruffman family interactions would be great, including backstory. I’m not going to fuss about figuring out the entire family tree, so if you leave someone I remember off or include someone I don’t remember or who you made up, I won’t be bothered.

Blossom fascinates me because it’s so hard to know what’s going on in her mind. She actually seems to like Ruff and to be loyal. I just want to know what she thinks.

If you want to include Chet, I don’t mind, but I also won’t mind if you don’t.

I’ve seen this entire series several times because my daughter adored it for about five years before she grew out of it. She really, really wanted to be a Fetcher some day.

The Librarians (Jenkins) - I think I’m mostly interested in backstory here just because there’s so much time involved in Jenkins’ life. I’d be interested to know what happened to him in the alternate worlds shown at the end of season one. I’m not interested in anything shippy for Jenkins. Strong friendships are fine. I’m kind of eh on Flynn, but I like all the other canonical characters and find them interesting.

Twilight Zone - Golden Earring (any) - I’m more interested in the song than in the video. I’m not against pulling elements/inspiration from the video. I’d just like to go a bit… Weirder, maybe? I was kind of disappointed when I watched the video after a thirty year gap because I’d remembered it as much more surreal (not that it’s not surreal. I just remembered it as more so). I’m also not sure I want the ending in the video. The version I know is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1sf2CzEq0w. There is a longer version, but, as far as I can tell, the added length is all instrumental.

WebMage Series - Kelly McCullough (Ravirn) - When I read the first book in this series, my immediate reaction was that this was what I had been looking for in the second Amber series. I like his first person voice quite a lot but do not require it in a story. That is, I’ll enjoy it if you use his voice, but I’ll still love the story if you don’t. I like Ravirn’s canonical relationships, romantic and otherwise, and I’m fascinated by the webgoblins. I’d enjoy a missing scene or backstory or post-canon stuff. Canon divergent AUs might be interesting, too.
