It's a pretty traditional craft project for schools around here. You take a citrus fruit with peel intact and stick a bunch of cloves into the peel (whole cloves are kind of spikes). Then you let the fruit dry out and use the resulting thing to make your closet smell like citrus and cloves, mostly cloves.
