I'm at a loss to figure out vegetables for Cordelia's weekly, going to see the social worker lunches. Tomatoes definitely don't work, and she's been iffy on peppers. I've been trying cucumbers, but it's been about 50-50 whether or not she likes them. She says that some of them just taste bad, and all I can do then is throw the dratted thing out. I guess I'll have to go with carrots. She doesn't always like those, but at least I can eat them if she doesn't.

Does it have to be vegetable? Can it be fruit instead...that opens up more options.

I have a piece of string cheese, an applesauce pouch, some vegetable or another, and a cereal bar. It's not the healthiest lunch, but it should get her through to four o'clock when she can get a snack at home.
Pickles might be worth a try. They're probably more consistent in flavor, and she likes them (or at least she used to). She doesn't like raw broccoli and won't touch cauliflower, cooked or raw. I think she likes sugar snap peas, but they tend to be dreadfully expensive. I don't think we can buy them every week.
Thanks for suggesting pickles!

I don't think I've ever seen watercress in a local grocery store. Possibly one of the expensive specialty stores might have it. I don't know.

We might be able to try baby corn. I don't think I've seen it in our grocery stores, but there are a couple of nearby Asian groceries that might have it.
Sugar snap peas are a possibility, but I'd rather not turn to them regularly because they're very expensive.
I'm not sure about green beans. It's hard to get good fresh ones around here, especially this time of year. Mostly, we buy frozen.
Someone on DreamWidth suggested pickles, and I may try that. I should be able to blot a pickle spear dry (well, dry enough).
Thanks for the suggestions!
