People have decided to put off the Cedar Point expedition until tomorrow because there are supposed to be thunderstorms all afternoon today. Right at the moment, the sky is blue, and everything looks beautiful, so there's going to be more swimming between now and lunch. I'm a little disappointed that the Cedar Point trip won't be today because it would have been perfect from the point of view of me being able to link find without ignoring everybody for hours on end. Maybe I'll just put off the link finding until tomorrow. That isn't usually a problem these days.
The bed here isn't as dreadful as I feared it would be. Sleeping on it huts but not so much that I can't sleep. When I get up in the morning, I hobble around for a couple of hours and can't bend over without pain because of how tight my lower and middle back are.
The last couple of days, everybody but me and the four year old has played Telestrations from about 9 p.m. onward. It's a lot of fun. I enjoy listening to them playing because of how much they laugh. It does make getting to bed at a reasonable time challenging. Even once the game ends, people are too wound up to fall asleep immediately.
I finally got my shower in during the Telestrations game last night. It took a long time for the water to get warm, and it never got much beyond just warm enough. I have concluded that I really don't like the new conditioner I got. It smells terrible. I don't think I'm actually allergic to it; if I were, I probably wouldn't have slept last night. It's a kiwi related thing from VO5. I'll probably give it to Scott's father at the end of our stay here. He likes to use conditioner as shaving cream, and I don't think he'll mind the scent.
We ate dinner on the patio last night. I wasn't thrilled because it meant that I had to put on my shoes, something I avoid as much as possible because wearing a shoe over my ankle brace is generally painful. I did take advantage of having shoes on already to take a short walk after dinner. I went down to the end of the driveway and back. It took me maybe a minute each way. I can tell I'm out of shape because that was kind of tiring. Of course, my ankle hurt a bit after, too, so I don't know. If I don't start walking more, I'm never going to get back to being able to, but I really, really don't want to hurt myself.
Scott and I played Sentinels of the Multiverse yesterday with our nephew, our brother-in-law, and Scott's brother. We went up against Citizen Dawn. I played the Wraith, and I think I was down to about eight hit points by the time we finished. I was actually pretty worried that the character would die. Citizen Dawn has a couple of nasty cards that wipe out all hero on-going and equipment cards, and one of those came out right when we thought we had her on the ropes. We all had to start over in terms of building up the ability to do damage and to protect ourselves.
