It sounds like we're going to drive up to East Lansing for Scott's sister's birthday. She wants to have dinner with her son who's in school at MSU. That's about as long a trip for us as going up to Scott's parents' place, so it's not a particularly big deal to go up there.

I'm trying to make sure everything is charged and that I'm set to work on writing with or without internet access. The write-in this afternoon is at Panera (2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Plymouth Rd Panera if anybody's local and would like to drop in. I'm wearing a black t-shirt that says 'My Patronus is Totoro').

Given the family stuff, I'm not sure if I'm going to sign up for Yuletide. I want to, but I'm not certain I should commit given that I don't know if I can carry it through. I want to, but I hate the idea of having to default. There's time yet before sign ups even open, so I'm hoping I'll have a more definite idea by then as to whether or not I should.

I woke with a headache this morning. Black tea with honey helped a lot.

I like black tea too. People think I'm weird. Although I mainly stick to rooibos tea as caffeine isn't good for my bladder.

Honey is my drug though. It never lasts long due to my daily porridge ritual. So I only buy it when I'm feeling greedy.

I gave up sugar (in all it's forms: candies, cake, chocolate, ice cream etc..) for 3 years, but fell off the wagon during a really stressful time. Since then I've regularly gorged on junk, but I'm trying to stop again now because I know it's terrible for my inflammation.
