I'm still having the sinus/allergy trouble. I'm exhausted, too, because I had trouble sleeping.

One person came over yesterday for a write-in. Everybody else is too busy this month (one would have a half hour commute, two would have an hour), so it will likely be January before we have a bigger group. The two of us are going to meet Tuesday evening with the possibility of Thursday and Sunday, too, if we're still working on our Yuletide stories.

I might not be. I have a bus draft. It could use a bit of description in two or three places, but that's polishing more than necessity. I have time for it.

I don't think I'll manage any Yuletide treats this year. I wanted to, but this recurring illness/allergy thing is really wrecking me.

We decorated our tree yesterday. It's early for us, but yesterday was when Cordelia's friend could come and help. Unfortunately, Scott and I were left up in the air as to whether or not it was going to happen. Cordelia's friend sent her a confirming text with time information, but Cordelia had fallen asleep and didn't notice the text arriving. Cordelia didn't wake until her friend actually arrived.

I made fudge, but it came out looking dry and crumbly. I have an idea for what to do next year to help that because I think it's a timing thing. By the time we were able to get the chocolate and the marshmallow fluff (no gelatin!) into the pot, the sugar/butter/evaporated milk mix had cooled too much. Marshmallow fluff is really, really hard to get from one container to another. Next year, I need to grease a bowl and scoop the fluff into it before I start heating anything.

I have also had a fudge fail like that in the past; I think my sugar crystalised. Still tasted yummy, tho.
