My mother just turned up another ancestor with colorectal cancer. Her mother’s mother’s father died of rectal cancer at age 60. My mother’s mother died of colon cancer, and her mother had it and was successfully treated for it. Mom and one of her brothers have had polyps removed.

Mom emailed me and my sister and her surviving siblings. I’m not sure why she didn’t include my brother in the email. Maybe she talked to him directly? He does need to know.

Well, this is certainly looking like a paper for your sister's docs on this particular genetic mutation. Should get your mom tested too, just to see if she's a carrier, and then the rest of the family can get checked.

That's some scary medical history you have there.

I did a bit of genealogy, and for those I know, I've tried to put cause of death.

There are a LOT of different types of cancer, aren't there?
