I may continue with Case Closed simply because, apart from mangling the names, the dub is watchable. I often need something in English to be on while I'm trying to write. Of course, the fact that I turn on the subtitles in order to get that version of the dialogue makes this series less useful for background noise.
I'll have to put the Miss Pettigrew novel on my list. It might be something I'd enjoy. Is the title the same?
With regard to Tales from Earthsea, personality 2 claimed, when talking to Therru (is that her name? I forget), to be the light side of Arren's personality. Personality 2 claimed that Arren had been overwhelmed by darkness and had somehow expelled the light. I thought that didn't entirely make sense. Arren seemed confused on multiple occasions, but he took actions, some of them good. Maybe the movie was originally meant to be longer and to have the explanations we feel are missing. Who knows? Definitely disappointing.
