Apr. 2nd, 2002 01:11 pmMonday's projects included a little bit of time outside. When we cleaned the refrigerator last week, we found an onion that had sprouted to quite an amazing extent. I planted it next to the garage to see if it will survive. I'd put off doing so because of the snow and cold weather we've had recently, but yesterday and Sunday were fairly warm. I think that the temperature should stay at survivable levels now. I hope that the onion will thrive, but I won't hold my breath. My suspicion is that the local critters will quickly devour it.
I also need to find a way to reattach the cover of the laptop's CD-ROM drive more or less permanently. It'd been loose for quite a while and tending to pop open without much provocation. Yesterday, as I picked up the laptop and pulled it into my lap, the cover simply fell off completely. Scott managed to get it back on, but it'll come back off if we look at it wrong. I'd like to have the option of using the drive when I need it, but for the moment, I'll settle for keeping everything properly covered.
