Cordelia has tried two more teas from the collection of samples [personal profile] kyrielle sent us. She liked the acai berry from Stash and didn't like the cherry cosmo from Tea Forte. I'm hoping to try another one today. I think I'll encourage her to try the remaining sample from Tea Forte. It would help to know whether or not she likes it if I decide to order some of the coco truffle, which she did like.

I'm going to ask Scott to stop at either Tea Haus or the Spice Merchant today to get a couple of tea strainers. I've shown him pictures of what I'm looking for, so hopefully, he'll be able to find it. I can't go because Cordelia has a friend coming over. I have to stay home to supervise.

Cordelia's been sledding most days this week. Wednesday, she concluded that sledding alone isn't any fun. That was partly because she doesn't like doing things alone and partly because I won't let her go to Leslie Science and Nature Center alone. Leslie has some great hills. The places nearer to us are either shorter and less steep or have a fence at the bottom so that kids have to ditch in order to avoid running into it.

Cordelia's been spending a lot of time watching the DVDs she got for Christmas. I'm actually starting to get sick of Teen Titans and Young Justice. I mean, they're better than Disney channel sitcoms, but they're all we've watched for days now.

I haven't managed much writing during the last couple of weeks. I have things I want to write that have vague shapes in my mind. With luck, I'll get some writing done tomorrow and during the rest of next week. I did finally find our missing copy of The Magician's Nephew (only after I bought a replacement, of course). For some unknown reason, it was in Cordelia's room. I'm really puzzled by that because I wouldn't have taken it in there and because she's not interested in The Chronicles of Narnia. We got her through The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian, but she rejected The Voyage of the Dawn Treader when we were about half way through.

We have to come up with something new to read to Cordelia at bedtime. We finished Alcatraz Versus the Shattered Lens a couple of days ago, and she's rejected everything that I've put forward. She won't even look at the blurbs to see if they're interesting to her. I suggested Dealing with Dragons, Wren to the Rescue, The Wolves of Willoughby Chase, Escape to Witch Mountain and Ordinary Jack, among others.
