I'm also in California. I buy the Haas avocados in little mesh bags from Trader Joe's and put them in the refrigerator in a Rubbermaid Produce Saver. Since I started doing that, I have never had one go bad on me. I cut them open and they're perfect every time. I'm planning to keep all perishable fruits and vegetables in the different sized containers as I'm able to purchase them.
