Cordelia's team won their basketball game yesterday. It was a much closer game than Saturday's, but it looked, for a little while, like the other team might not score at all. I'm glad they did because I always feel bad when games go too far in one direction. It's so depressing for the girls on the losing team. They're trying their best, and they can't get anywhere. Cordelia's teams have been in that position often enough that I don't like seeing any teams go that way.

When we got home, I couldn't find my cell phone. I assumed that I'd lost it while I was out. I was rather dreading calling the middle school on Monday to ask that someone search the bleachers for it. Fortunately, it turned out that Scott had taken it (I'm still not clear on why) when he went to the library. He wanted to try to meet up with us before the end of the game, but the game ended considerably earlier than he expected.

After Scott got home, we went out for bubble tea. Then Scott skyped with his brother in Seattle. Seven o'clock surprised us-- We hadn't prepared anything for dinner. I chopped up some of the chicken Scott cooked the other day and made chicken noodle soup. We've found a mix we like, and we add extra noodles, chicken and vegetables to make it into a real meal. This will probably feed us at least through Tuesday.
