I haven't been reading here much in the last few months. Each time I let a day go by without visiting DreamWidth, it becomes harder to come back because I think about how much I'll need to read to catch up.
At this point, I'm granting myself amnesty on back-reading and am trimming my reading list. I'm mostly removing one way subscriptions. I haven't removed pre-existing access for anyone even when I remove a subscription. I don't tend to lock much, so I'm not sure how much the access part matters.
At any rate, given that I haven't read much since July or August, it's easier to narrow my list than it would be if I was actually keeping up. Deleting the subscriptions is just me acknowledging that I'm not reading anyway. I'm hoping that decreasing the number of people I read and communities I belong to will make coming back here feel less like a major time investment.
I'll probably be doing some book logging over the next few days rather than trying to write other sorts of posts. I need to spend a lot of time working my Heart Attack assignment which is due on the 29th and has a 10K word minimum. I think that book logging will take less time than any other sort of posts.
