I was hoping I could avoid grumpiness today, but things aren't looking promising at the moment. The DVD remote has gone missing, so I'm stuck with the wasteland of normal TV again. (Yes, I could in theory get up and hand program everything, but the pain caused doing that would be even worse for my temper than watching the Weather Channel and/or CNN for four hours.) Who knows, maybe there'll be a good movie on...

I'm getting some noticeable Braxton-Hicks contractions, I think (practice contractions for those who've not heard the term before. They are not an indication of immanent labor). These are painful, low in the abdomen and constricting the bladder and intestines. Like I needed more pressure there... It's nobody's fault, but I think I'm just as glad Scott's at work. I'd probably snap at anybody who happened by right at the moment.

I'm feeling generally bored, as well. I've been slowly reading the manga LunarGeography lent me, but I can't seem to focus for more than about half an hour at a time (the only reason I can write like this is that I can let my thoughts meander a bit and then reorganize them before posting). I've almost finished reading the Inu-Yasha she lent me, and I have finished the Kodocha. Now, only Marmalade Boy awaits. I can't reach any of our bookshelves right now except for the role playing stuff. I suppose I could read the various GURPS books; they'd keep me busy for a long time.

What I ought to do is go and work on organizing the nursery. We have a dresser now and lots to put in it. LunarGeography even sorted the clothes by size and season for me. I'm just a little intimidated by the task and unsure of my ability to complete it. There's so little I can manage these days.

Tuesday was a much better day than Monday. I suppose it couldn't help being. I canceled the one appointment that I had scheduled. It was a psychotherapy appointment, and I'd already given the social worker notice that it's entirely possible that I won't be able to manage getting there until some time after the baby's born (probably after the point when I stop using the walker). She's been pretty understanding about the whole thing.

I spent the afternoon watching anime. I'm still working on Gundam Wing and Sailor Moon. I finished Ranma 1/2 season 1 and have substituted some more Kimagure Orange Road (courtesy of LunarGeography) in the rotation. I suspect that Gundam Wing will be the next series I finish, just based on the number of episodes I think I've got left of each.

Scott took time to go shopping yesterday after work and picked up pretty much all of the stuff I'd labeled as "buy before the baby's born." I was impressed because it didn't take him nearly as long as I'd expected. I don't think it's all made its way into the house yet, but it will eventually.

After that, we went out for dinner at a Korean restaurant that I'd been wanting to try. It wasn't bad at all. The menu was limited, and the space in the building wasn't large, but we both enjoyed what we'd ordered. The place is called Be Won, and it's out Plymouth near Busch's. I'd noticed it a few times when we were out there for other things and thought we should try it because there's so little out that way in terms of good places to eat.

We got home in time to watch Buffy and debated whether or not we should since we forgot to tape last week's episode when it finally aired on Saturday (we were busy trying to shop for nursing bras and maternity panties for me and discovering that the maternity store in the mall doesn't carry anything that large and assumes that no woman will ever gain more than 30 pounds during pregnancy). We ended up watching, and I don't know that we missed anything that we couldn't pretty much figure out. We'll try and get our hands on the missing episode eventually, of course, but we're not going to worry too much about it.
