Jul. 1st, 2006 12:30 pmI'm looking for someone familiar with Bujold's Vorkosigan books to do a quick beta read on a short (about 1600 words) fic.
I've written it for a ficathon, and it's due on the 5th, so I'm a little pressed for time. It's a missing scene set near the end of Barrayar (aka Cordelia's Honor). It may or may not work for those who don't know the series (I suspect that in most cases it won't), so I'm limiting myself to beta readers familiar with Bujold's work.
I'm looking primarily for feedback on how to make the character voices more authentic and on how to tighten up the prose a bit (or if it needs expansion somewhere that I'm not seeing).
ETA: I've got two beta readers now. I'm not averse to letting other people take a look, but I don't really *need* more beta readers just now.
