Mar. 12th, 2007 11:11 amI'm breathing better today. Mainly I'm fighting not to let the glop and the cough get into my lungs and aggravate my asthma. I was enough better on Saturday not to go to the doctor. I just stayed home and rested (and wrote!) while Delia and Scott went out and did things with visiting relatives. I'd have had to miss part of that anyway because they went swimming. Chlorinated pools make me wheeze even when I'm not having other breathing trouble.
I'm still hoping that this illness isn't a cold, chiefly because then Scott's less likely to come down with it. He can't afford to take any sick time for a month or so, having taken a day on Friday before we realized quite how sick I was getting. I was glad to have him home, but I really don't want him at work when he's sick. It's not safe for him, too much risk of serious injury. His taking the day on Friday also means that he's likely to get hit with a lot of overtime this week (he was supposed to work a twelve hour shift on Friday, so not only did people from other shifts have to cover his normal hours but somebody from his shift had to cover his scheduled overtime).
I finished the rewrite of my Weiss Day fic on Saturday and then spent time fixing up the formatting with LJ tags for the italics and such. Yesterday, I mailed it to the moderator. If all goes well, my story and the others written for the exchange will go up anonymously on the 14th at![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
weissday. I'll be curious if anyone can identify the story I wrote (feel free to tell me your guesses!). I suspect that it'll be easy to spot, but I could be wrong.
The stories will remain anonymous for two weeks. After the authors are announced, I'll post mine on my website.
I wouldn't normally do this, but I want to see this exchange work. If you write fic, please take a look at Multifandom Shameathon. Particularly consider it if you'd like to write or request something other than Gundam Wing since the current sign ups apparently skew heavily to Gundam Wing. (I don't think it gives away much of anything to say that I'm one of the people who didn't request any Gundam Wing at all.) The deadline for signing up has been extended to 18 March, and the fics will be due 1 September. The moderator has posted a list of requested fandoms here. I expect requests will skew heavily toward smut (that being the nature of shame in our society), but I doubt they'll all involve sex.
