May. 7th, 2008 11:59 amHow utterly unreasonable is it of me to be cranky about someone sending BookCrossing books to a pre-school library without specifically checking first?
I suspect that she says in her profile that she automatically puts BookCrossing labels on everything she sends out, and going by the i.d., she is the one who put the labels on these books. I don't normally object to BookCrossing. I don't participate, but I think it's a neat idea. I'm just cranky because I'm going to have to mutilate the books to get the labels out. A library book *can't* have a label in it that says not to return it to where it came from. We need these books to come back after each time they go out.
::grumbles:: These are books that I really want as a permanent part of the collection-- an African (Akamba, specifically) folk tale and a book about a pond. I'm not sure I'd have taken them, though, if I'd realized.
