Apr. 22nd, 2011 04:25 pmScott's sister and her two kids came down this afternoon to dye Easter eggs. We get together for that every year, but usually it's at her place. This year, though, Scott's working Saturday and couldn't take us up there, so Suzanne and the kids came down. They came today instead of tomorrow because today was wide open while we have soccer game tomorrow at 12:30.
I'm always hesitant to have Scott's relatives in the house because I feel like I don't keep the house clean enough. I'm not sure why-- They're always nice about it. Of course, Friday's a good day for it, the day after the cleaning lady comes.
Suzanne brought the eggs. We had the dye kit. Each of the three kids dyed six eggs, and Suzanne and I each dyed three. We had nine colors. Mostly we did single color eggs. I think all the colors got used. Some of them worked better than others.
The kids played in Delia's room both before and after the egg dying. I hadn't expected the nephew to play with Delia. He's twelve. I expected him to want to play with the Wii and to let the girls play without him. Instead, all three played together while Suzanne and I talked.
