Sep. 13th, 2012 06:11 pmLast night, Scott's Babylon 5 game met. A major villain put in an appearance, and my character walked into a situation that's still unresolved that might kill her. I'll have to wait two weeks to see whether or not the other player characters can buy my character enough time to get out of the situation.
Today, I had lunch with
odosgirl. We went to Panera. It's not my favorite place to eat, but it has the virtue of not minding that we spend two hours talking after we finish eating. The Plymouth Road Panera is never busy enough, at least when we go, for that to be a problem.
We talked about her dissertation which sounds interesting. She's writing about early nineteenth century novels dealing with the American Revolution. I have the impression that she's constantly finding more novels and histories that she needs to read and consider.
We also talked about Harry Potter, both books and movies, about romance novels and about writing.
It was really good to get out of the house. I so seldom do, and I so rarely see adults apart from Scott. The excursion left me really tired, however. I've been home five hours, and I'm only starting to be awake again.
odosgirl and I will probably get together every couple of weeks during the school year, and I think I'm going to have to plan things so that I don't have anything else to do those days.
