This weekend's soccer game was rained out. The cancellation came a little more than an hour before the game, so we were already set to go, Scott and I equipped with umbrellas. (Games play in the rain as long as the fields aren't too soaked and there's no lightning. Canceling for lightning is about safety for the kids. Canceling for soaked ground is for the fields, so that they don't get destroyed.) The cancellation means another game in late October or early November. It's pretty sure to be miserable and might conflict with UCon Sunday (we're running our game on Saturday, but Scott would like to be there on Sunday to play games).

Saturday night, Delia had a friend over. The friend is a four year old who Delia used to play with quite a bit. The girl's family moved to Indianapolis last May. We had pizza for dinner, and the girls went to bed promptly at nine. Delia read the younger girl a story from one of the few books for little kids that she still owns.

Scott wanted to take Delia to a u-pick raspberry place on Sunday, but she didn't want to go. She was too busy playing with neighborhood kids.

Monday, Scott came home early from work. He was in intestinal distress and simply couldn't make it through the day at work. He went straight to bed, and I kept him supplied with gatorade and saltines. By evening, things had settled enough that he dared some instant oatmeal.

I've spent a good bit of time this week converting files for the LARP. We created them in AppleWorks. Pages will open AppleWorks word processing files, so some of the conversion was easy. Pages won't open AppleWorks drawing documents. We use index cards to represent props and use drawing documents to format everything so that it prints properly. I had to copy each AppleWorks drawing document into a Pages drawing document. Scott had made Pages templates, fortunately. I had to fiddle with them a good bit, but they worked.

Of course, there another seventeen or eighteen games to convert. I need to get on that.

My nonspecific myoclonus has come back. I had about twelve years of not being bothered by it, but it's quite noticeable now. My legs twitch periodically. At first, it was just when I was in bed, at night. Now, it's happening while I'm sitting at my laptop or eating dinner or whatever. If I could drive, I'd have to stop because one of these twitches could make my foot push down at an inopportune moment. They don't, thank goodness, happen while I'm walking or standing. I suppose I should bring this up with my new doctor. I don't know, though. It's annoying, but it's not keeping me awake at night, and I'd rather not start another medication.

I did bring up the myoclonus when I saw my psychiatrist last week. One of my medications can cause tardive dyskinesia, and I wanted to be sure that wasn't what this is. She ran me through a couple of tests and concluded that it's not. It's just the nonspecific myoclonus popping back up again.
