Apr. 12th, 2014 10:49 amWe have Cordelia's spring soccer schedule now. The first game is the 19th, and the last game is June 7th. All the games are in the morning, about half of them at nine. Those will be loads of fun-- The grass will be wet, and it will be cold even if it's sunny.
I shared the schedule with Scott's parents. They say they might be able to come to the game on the 26th which starts at eleven thirty. I was kind of hoping we could talk them into the game on May 10th. It's a nine o'clock game that Scott probably won't be able to attend due to the Science Olympiad. (He's got one team competing in the morning and one in the afternoon.) Getting transportation help from somebody else on the team isn't really feasible since most of them live on the other side of town. (This team includes girls from something like six different schools.) I can probably use the A-Ride. It won't be ideal as we'll have to ask for an eight a.m. pick up in order to be sure of arriving by nine.
This is our last year for the Science Olympiad. It runs second grade through fifth grade. There is some sort of olympiad for middle schoolers, but we don't know much about it except that kids don't have any say about what they'll be doing for it. We don't know whether or not kids from the new STEAM program will have the opportunity to participate.
Speaking of that, Cordelia seems to be becoming resigned to staying at her current school. She still wants the middle school, but she knows what we've decided. I think that knowing that her best friend will be there helps a lot.
