I woke up today with a headache. I hit it with Amerge immediately and then took naproxen about forty minutes later. Those two medications, between them, have pushed the dratted thing back. I've still got echoes, though, and I think it's starting to creep back in. About all I've got left to try is more caffeine, and that's unlikely to do much.

It's just me and Cordelia today, so we got to sleep in. I'm not sure what time Cordelia got up, but my headache woke me about 8:30. Cordelia's in her room, reading, right now. I think she's rereading the first Harry Potter book. She actually took an interest in what I was writing yesterday because she spotted that it was Harry Potter related. She still can't understand why I enjoy writing, though. She thinks it's awful and no fun.

The FATE game met last night. We actually got in a little playing, introducing one character to the group and having her meet all the other characters. I still need to finish my character-- Scott said he just wanted to play with aspects at first, so I didn't assign any skills. That made playing difficult because I had nothing to roll dice against.

We had an awful lot of munchies at the game, mostly veggies but also mini cupcakes and some cheap post-Valentine's Day candy. I ate a lot of celery and hummus because that's what was near me. The last half dozen mini cupcakes got left here after the session. Cordelia has already eaten several. I think that's what she had for breakfast.

I think one of the problems I'm running into with my various works in progress is that my approach to writing is to throw a couple of characters into a scene together with a particular topic of conversation and then see what happens. That can only carry me so far, and it doesn't work when I don't have a good grasp of all of the characters.

We still haven't gotten to the library to pick up my interlibrary loan book. We've got until the end of the day tomorrow, so I think I'll see if I can talk Scott into going downtown for it tonight. He won't want to, but I think he'll understand that I want the book.
