I woke up about 3:30 this morning from a combination of pain and being too warm. I was pretty much wide awake, and the too warm lasted at least an hour and a half before it eased enough for me to fall asleep under just the sheet. Because of that, I ended up sleeping pretty late and not getting out of bed until almost 11:00. On the plus side, that means there were pancakes ready by the time I needed food. On the minus side, that throws off my medication schedule considerably. I normally take my second Wellbutrin around now, but it’s less than three hours since my first dose, so… Yeah. I don’t think that’s the best idea.

I’m trying to avoid taking painkillers during the day time. I’m not sure it’s the best idea because, by bed time, I’m hurting quite a bit, but during the first part of the day, I’m generally fine. By the time I start hurting, it’s late enough that I don’t want to take anything because it would end up wearing off an hour after I go to bed.

I haven’t managed to do any writing yet, but I’m still hopeful. I’ve got ideas running around in my head. It’s just a question of getting them into words.

Scott and Cordelia have gone out to go to the library and to see about finding her an insulated lunch bag that’s large enough for the amount of food she wants to take and that isn’t pink like the bag she used years ago. I ended up sending back some library books that I never actually opened. I’ve put them back on my I’m-interested list, but who knows if I’ll ever get to them? This just hasn’t been a good couple of months for reading even light books.

I’m going to have a lot of DVDs this week, mostly things that I won’t be able to renew. I have no idea if I’ll get to all of them or not. I definitely have the time. It’s just a question of whether or not I have the focus. I have a tendency to start things and then pause them and never go back.

Scott and I decided to return Orphan Black season 1 DVD 1 and Lost Girl season 2 DVD 1 to Netflix without finishing them. We’ve had them since the end of August, and we’re obviously not at all motivated to get back to them (we watched about half an hour of each). I think we both want fluffier things right now. Unfortunately, most of the things we have on our list of things we want to try are grim and/or violent or just plain stressful (Scott even keeps forgetting to watch the episodes of Heroes Reborn that are on the DVR. He likes that show, but…). The next thing up in our Netflix queue, however, is White Collar season 1 DVD 2, and I’m hoping that that will be more our speed. The first DVD didn’t catch us particularly (we watched it years ago and never felt any reason to move the second DVD up our queue), but from what I recall, it wasn’t likely to stress us out.
