Feb. 29th, 2016 09:45 amI managed to sleep in our bed last night. I didn’t sleep soundly, but the bed is so much more comfortable than the loveseat recliner. I strongly suspect that getting decent sleep is going to be key to recovery for me.
Scott and Cordelia didn’t spend nearly as much time out for lunch yesterday as I expected them to. I tend to forget that Brighton is only twenty minutes away. I also was assuming that Scott’s sister would want to hang out and socialize. That doesn’t seem to have happened.
Cordelia’s coming down with something. She’s got a sore throat. We’re all hoping she doesn’t get as sick as Scott and I did. She doesn’t want to miss school, but if she’s that sick, there won’t be a choice.
I tried to call in for refills of three prescriptions this morning, but when I got to the third bottle, I discovered I had no more refills on it. The automated system didn’t give me the option of backing out, and when I didn’t enter a prescription number, it shunted me over to a voicemail for doctor’s offices to leave prescription information. I have no idea if the first two prescriptions I put in actually went through or if I’m going to have to call them in again. I’ve already arranged for a new prescription to replace the expired one, so that’s taken care of. I just won’t know about the other two until after I get back from PT.
We’re apparently due to get another winter storm tomorrow afternoon. I’m not thrilled because the way my appointments are set up tomorrow, I’m going to be leaving the cancer center at 4:30 or 5:00. Getting a cab to that location at that time of day will be difficult. Getting one in bad weather… I may actually have to take the bus and hope I have the stamina to get up the hill. Scott will probably be home by then, but traffic around the hospital is really difficult at that time of day, so I hate to ask him to deal with it. Taking the bus to the bottom of the hill and then having Scott come get me may be the best solution, but it’s far from ideal as that street is usually pretty backed up at 5:00.
