Jun. 13th, 2018 10:25 pmI tried to get to bed early last night, but I was sufficiently stressed out that I was clenching my teeth and couldn't let go of it enough to sleep when I hoped to. We had a friend over tonight, so I haven't gotten to bed yet even though it's about 10:30 p.m. Still, some social contact was worth the missed sleep. Also, I had pizza around three. There wasn't anything on it that would be a huge trigger, but my reflux is probably going to give me problems when I lie down because I can still kind of taste it.
Scott's father came over and did some yard work for us. I need to talk to Scott about hiring someone to do that work next year because his father is too old for this. He looked and sounded pretty bad by the time he stopped and came inside. I knew he wouldn't listen to me, so I had Cordelia try to persuade him to stop sooner. She wasn't actually sure how to do it, though, and met no success.
We have two more days of school before summer break officially starts. That's two more mornings of getting up at 5 a.m. I'll be able to sleep in (7, 8, or even 9 in the morning!) most mornings for a while. I have a morning appointment next Wednesday and then one on the 29th. After the 29th, I'll be getting up for PT fairly regularly for a while.
I've decided that I'm going to post the first story in the Sky High AU series without very much more editing. I just need to get at least part of the damned thing out the door, and I feel reasonably good about the first six chapters. They could certainly be better, but I don't see holding onto them any longer. I posted the first one last night and the second today. I'll do one a day for the next little while. That gives me time to look at each chapter once more before I post it. I'll link the story here after all the chapters are up.
The seventh chapter in this story is still a little wobbly. Four of the five chapters in the second story are fairly solid. The one that isn't needs some research and queries.
