Aug. 18th, 2018 12:08 pmI have disabled comments on yesterday's post because it got a dozen spam comments in a row. I didn't figure many people would be likely to comment on it anyway. If you do for some reason, PMs work, too. I just got sick of playing spam whack-a-mole.
I did the shopping last night. The one thing that we need and don't yet have is GF breadcrumbs for making meatloaf. Scott got some Glutino brand, but he didn't check the ingredients. It's basically just over-priced cornmeal which one of our nieces can't eat at all. He also got some chickpea crumbs. I can't tell, from what I'm finding via Google, whether or not those will work. I'll probably try soaking a teaspoon of them and then heating to see what happens.
My fasting blood draw didn't happen. Either my doctor didn't send in the order or she cancelled it and forgot to tell me. Scott and I got bagel sandwiches on the way home, after. I'm a little cranky because I could have slept longer.
I've got a load of laundry in and one waiting to be washed. I haven't started packing yet, but I could. I've got a long list of things to pack, but most of them don't make sense to pack today, not when we won't leave until tomorrow afternoon. I suppose I should make sure we have enough large ziplocs for all of the potentially leaky toiletries (we had a bottle of conditioner leak in a suitcase once, years before Cordelia was born. Ziplocs make that much, much less likely to happen).
The next thing is to try making the GF teriyaki sauce. I've got a few ideas to try, and the recipes all look simple enough.
ETA: Have disabled anonymous comments on the journal as a whole. This entry had two spam comments in under five minutes. I'll re-enable it in a few weeks.
