Oct. 28th, 2018 09:53 amI had three guests for the write-in yesterday. One person was sick and had to cancel on us (she's had a pretty terrible weekend as her furnace died yesterday, too, in a way that means replacement rather than repair).
We're still up in the air about a November write-in because three of the five of us can't meet on any given Saturday. I may get together with the one person who is free, and I talked to her about maybe inviting my niece. I don't know if my niece would want to hang out with us old folks or if she'll have time given that she's working on top of high school.
I wrote about a thousand words yesterday, all of it on my DC mini bang story.
I've been having allergies or a cold since mid-afternoon yesterday. I'm still assuming allergies because I dusted the ceiling fan over our bed. I was careful about not getting much into the air, but the last couple of months, I've been reacting badly every time I sweep or dust in there, reacting badly in pretty much exactly this way.
I'm so very tired of this happening. I just don't want to let the bedroom get as dusty as it was, not again, and it's still pretty dusty because I can't do a lot at any one time. Some of what's left requires moving things or getting down on the floor. I could ask our cleaning lady to help, but I don't want to let her into our bedroom. I'd just like to get it all done fast and then keep it up better.
I tried doing a sinus wash. I've showered. I've taken claritin and sudafed. None of that has helped.
Last night, after the write-in people left, I kind of collapsed in exhaustion. I didn't sleep until much later, and I woke completely earlier this morning than I'd hoped for (6:30 a.m.). I could tell that I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep, so I got up. It's about 9:45 now, and I feel like I could (and should) go back to sleep, but we have to be in East Lansing by 1:00. That's an hour's drive.
Cordelia won't be going with us, but she needs to be up and ready to go because we're going to need to drop her off before we go.
