I'm making progress on writing things for my UCon rpg. I've got the universe roughed out and am preparing some individualized handouts. I'm trying to keep the individualized stuff at a point where I can attach them to any of the player characters.

I'm trying to come up with character names. I need a moderately long list of possibilities so that when I throw in NPCs I have names for them. I've given names to the PCs, but they're working names only. I think that the scenario is probably set about 500 years in our future, so I could make up names entirely. Right now, I'm trying to find a balance between being pronounceable by me and likely players, not all being US whitebread names, and not being clunky/wrong-sounding.

I've had a headache all day. Part of it seems to be sinus, and part of it is probably tension heading for migraine. I can't refill my Amerge over the weekend, so I'm trying to get by and save my two remaining pills because things might get worse. My doctor will likely call in the new prescription on Monday, but I might get unlucky and have to wait as long as Wednesday. I've been taking naproxen and Tylenol and applying heat. Those help some.

We went out to Dairy Queen last night because Cordelia really wanted to go out for ice cream. She asked about it around noon and even texted Scott to ask about it when I pointed out that asking me wasn't going to do much toward making the car move.

I've invited my niece to the November write-in. I expected that she'd say that she was busy and/or not interested, but she seems enthusiastic. She's got one day that will work for her, but it was my first choice, and the other person who I'm expecting to attend is good with that day. We'll need to start earlier than usual because my niece needs to be at work at 5 p.m. which is our usual ending time.
