I'm still really exhausted. This morning, I drowsed, never asleep for very long but dreaming. I feel like I should be sleeping now. The only good thing about feeling this tired is that I hurt less because my muscles are too weak to hold the tension that creates the pain.

Scott's been baking this morning. I think there's a fundamental mismatch between what he's baking and what I would consider worth all of that work. He's pretty solidly for snickerdoodles and sugar cookies which I don't care for particularly.

Cordelia and I both have some peculiarity in that warm sugar cookies taste to us a lot like chicken. For some reason, this doesn't make us eager to eat them. Room temperature sugar cookies taste entirely like whatever oil/shortening was used to make them.

I picked up a pinch hit that will be due near the end of January. I'm still trying to find the right frame for it, so I haven't started writing it yet. I probably won't until the weekend and may wait until after Christmas.

Cordelia has a choir rehearsal this afternoon. Since Scott's home, she's going to come home in order to get a snack and then have her take her back to the school. The rehearsal runs an hour and a half. Getting back to the school for the 5:15 pickup will be time consuming enough that it probably will make sense for Scott to stay out there and make a trip out to Meijer. We need lightbulbs for the bedroom and an assortment of other odds and ends.

I'm trying to figure out if there's any way that I can go with him without falling over. I'm not sure it's feasible or wise, but I have nothing to put into Scott's stocking, and I don't expect to have any other opportunities for shopping.

Tomorrow's going to be a long day. I have a biopsy for an awkwardly positioned skin thing at 8:30 a.m., and Cordelia's choir concert starts at 7 p.m. Scott's got some things scheduled in the middle of the day, so my current intention is to make the bacon wrapped dates while he's out doing that.

I'm planning to make the turkey bacon wrapped dates first and to add butter to them. I figure that, if I get those done first, there's much less risk of contamination with anything that will make Scott sick. Ideally, I'll wrap Scott's presents while he's out.
