Fic Announcement
Sep. 28th, 2019 09:14 pmTitle: Knowing Where to End
Fandom: Chronicles of Amber - Roger Zelazny
Rating: M
Length: 2668 words
Characters/Pairings: Martin, Corwin, Dara, referenced Dara/Oberon, canonical levels of Corwin/Dara
Tags: Implied/referenced rape/non-con, Psychological torture, Hatred, Torture, Imprisonment, Canonical character death, Grief/mourning, Thwarted ambition, Anger
Notes: Written as a pinch hit for Hate Exchange 2019. I don't think this had so much as a fig leaf of anonymity. Dara/Oberon wasn't a thing I'd thought of before, but it makes some Watsonian sense in terms of explaining her behavior. Oberon also makes more Watsonian sense if he feels alienated by expectations of form, gender, etc. in the Courts of Chaos.
Summary: When I saw Oberon's cortège and realized that it actually held his corpse, I knew I wasn't going to rule in Amber.
