Summary: Yaha-kui zaShunina represented a new and terrifying sort of problem, one without context to let Koujirou form opinions about the alien's true intentions.
Koujirou had never been so trapped before. He had nothing to trade, nothing to threaten, no openings for enticement. He couldn't even rely on proximity and empathy to help him establish rapport.
