Drat. There's a dress I saw on a mail order website that looked like it might be something I'd wear. It's cheaper than the dresses I normally buy by about $50. But, because it was November, I didn't buy it. I put it on my wishlist, figuring that I'd buy it for myself after Christmas if nobody got it for me. Unfortunately, I really shouldn't have waited. The only color now available in my size is black. I can get better color options if I go a size larger or if I go with a regular size instead of a petite, but I'm wary of doing either. I prefer long dresses, but a regular size is likely not to fit in other ways-- It'll have longer sleeves and a longer torso. With a larger size, well, I don't know.
Of course, I do note from looking at the different colors that the way the model is wearing the dress is deceptive. I thought it had an elastic waist, but it apparently doesn't. It just hangs straight down. Maybe if I got a belt... Why does no one make elastic waisted dresses any more?
