I didn't go downstairs for the tornado warning either, but I've been second-guessing myself ever since. The weather service said that conditions were right for tornadoes to form, and that in the dark the spotters may not see them, so it seemed like there *could* have been tornadoes that were out there but not yet spotted. And then afterward, reports said that there were several tornadoes that night, including one that did touch down. So I've been wondering if I should have taken shelter. But I didn't.
