We have no idea if Cordelia can learn or not. We've only tried a couple of times, with smallish simethicone capsules, and those have the problem that saliva dissolves them fairly quickly. I'm inclined to keep trying with simethicone, though, simply because it's harmless (and it doesn't taste bad). My hope is that, if she can do it once, she'll be able to do it from there on out.
There's a fairly high likelihood that she'll, at the very least, have to take thyroid pills eventually, and I don't know that there's any way at all to get those in liquid or chewable form.
I, personally, am much, much better off with pills than I am with liquids. Many liquid medications trigger my gag reflex-- I have fairly constant trouble with anything that my throat reads as too viscous to be a liquid but not solid enough to be something else. I have to be really careful with applesauce and yogurt and mashed potatoes.
