I read Castle/Krentz/Quick books as soon as they come out (well, as soon as I can get them from the library). Her very old books frequently annoy me because they tend to be very sexist with alpha male guys who actually do know better than the heroine on all subjects. Anything from about 1995 on is likely to be fun.
I'll have to try a Jean Plaidy book. I'm not sure I ever have.
