There's no reason you would be aware of my allergies. That's the sort of thing that I expect my local family to track and not anyone else. So Scott and Cordelia and Scott's sister and Scott's parents, I would expect to know. Anybody else... not so much. I developed the peanut allergy in my 30s, so even my mother isn't necessarily going to remember it.
