I was really, really out of it yesterday and spent most of the day in bed. The day was pretty thoroughly unpleasant in terms of me hurting. I haven’t ended up with the wracking cough that Scott still has. At this point, it’s largely that I’ve got a sinus headache and feel generally exhausted. I’m hitting the headache with Mucinex and a lot of water, and that seems to be helping.
So far, Cordelia’s not showing symptoms of this, so Scott and I are both hoping that she won’t come down with it.
Scott went in for his physical this morning, and they scheduled him for a colonoscopy on the same day as mine. One or the other of us will have to change. We’ll also have to find someone to go with Scott for his because they want someone who can drive.
I was going to push through my exhaustion to bake Scott a cake for his birthday, but he’s asked me to wait until he feels better. He doesn’t want to do any birthday stuff, except presents, today. He’s not hungry at all. I am, but I haven’t got the energy to do much about it. I just made myself a sandwich, but now I don’t have the wherewithal to eat it.
I don’t know what we’ll have for dinner tonight. Scott went grocery shopping after his appointment this morning, but he didn’t buy anything that will be easy to fix. I’m sure that’s because I didn’t specifically tell him to (at that point, I was assuming we’d be going out, but apparently not).
I haven’t made any of the phone calls I need to make. None of them are urgent, but I would like to make some progress on something this week.
The snow is really coming down right now and has been all day. The schools have sent us about half a dozen messages, mostly emails but also a phone call, about canceling after school activities. They don’t know yet if there will be school tomorrow.
