Oh, dear. I really hope it doesn't become frequent or chronic for a long time. Especially since reflux can make asthma worse. My main recommendation if you start having trouble is to stay upright as much as possible. They make a big wedge shaped pillow that I've heard good things about that's meant to go under your entire back and head and is likely to be easier to deal with (and safer!) than trying to raise the head of your bed.
