I'd be happy to beta-read whatever it is. I'm not sure I'm a very good beta reader, though, since I live with my head in a bag, TV-wise, so I usually haven't seen things that everybody else on the planet has seen. And also I'm more likely to just read for sentence structure and grammar than to be useful at giving feedback at which sections to delete or add or move to a different spot. But I'd still be honored to do it, if you think I'd be able to be useful at it.
Scary about the home break-ins in your neighborhood, and the disappearance of the snow-thrower. (Though if it had to be missing in the wintertime, this was a good winter for it.) And also scary about your mom needing to be working in order to pay for your grandfather's care. I hope she is doing okay and not going underwater trying to pay for that.
