Saturday's soccer game had the same referee as we'd had the week before. We were all bracing in case he repeated last game's unpleasantness. As it happened, the situation didn't arise as Delia's team came out way ahead. I felt bad for the goalie on the other team during the third quarter. Delia's team had three or four goals in that fifteen minute period.

After the game, we went to Briarwood to pick up Scott's latest pair of glasses. He also needed to return the safety glasses he'd gotten from them. The progressive lenses were giving him serious problems at work because he doesn't need either really in close or far away vision. He needs a wide range of vision in the middle distance, and the progressive lenses only gave him a sliver of that. Swapping the lenses actually saved us some money.

While we were waiting for the new safety glasses, we had dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen. Delia had buttered noodles. Scott had a pizza. I had a club sandwich with a bowl of soup.

After that, Scott bought me a twelve minute upper body massage. I enjoyed that. It was a dollar a minute and isn't something I'd normally indulge in.

Sunday was very laid back. Scott wouldn't let me do any chores for most of the day (that changed when it was after eight and Delia's muffins (for the week's breakfasts) hadn't been made yet. He put Delia to bed while I made muffins). We got bubble tea and went to Blue Nile for dinner. The Blue Nile is an Ethiopian restaurant. They serve a tray of food with several different items spaced around it. The meal is eaten with one's hands, using pieces of spongy flatbread to scoop up other things.

We hadn't been to Blue Nile for several years because I had reflux problems last time we went. I love the food, though, so I wanted to give it another try. I had a little bit of trouble, but nothing like what I feared given that they put jalapenos in a lot of things (I can't taste the peppers in the food, so that part's okay. Of course, I'm taking different reflux meds now than I was last time. That might be it, or it might be that I stopped eating before I over-stuffed myself.

I did miss their lamb. It's no longer a part of the standard meal. One can buy it for $5 extra (the menu didn't specify if that was per table or per person) with an extra $3 for each refill. We couldn't justify the expense when there was so much other food included in the standard meal.
