I am sorry to hear that you're ill again. Glad that I haven't been there to add to it with the cat hair, though. (Given that I think my two recent/current bouts with bronchitis/asthma have been triggered by the newest cat in the house... and I *know* everything is covered in cat hair right now...)
About the books -- I'm going through a similar thing -- I am going to do a severe prune of the collection, because I've been told that (a) how I'm keeping it is helping the mold, etc. grow (also in my basement) and (b) I don't have a lot more room to keep it all. So I'm figuring on only keeping what I must and getting rid of what I can bear to part with. I'd like to say that might be up to half, but I'll be happy if it's a fourth of it all. I have already been going through papers, and gotten rid of a lot. It's hard, though. I want ot keep all my stuff!
