I finally posted my comments on episode one of Weiss Kreuz: Kapitel. It took longer to write up the comments than it took to watch the episode twice through (once dubbed and once subbed), at least as long as I discount the time the episode spent paused. If you're at all interested, you can see my comments and everybody else's here.

I survived today in considerably better shape than I expected. The bus trip went reasonably well given the time of day and that I had no idea where I needed to get off. The driver of the second bus had no idea what I was talking about when I explained where I needed to go. He kept saying that he thought I was on the wrong bus which pushed me a bit toward panic except that I *knew* that bus went to Briarwood. The worst case would be I had to walk from Briarwood, miserable, cold and exhausting, but possible.

As it happens, the stop wasn't where I thought it would be because the bus came onto Eisenhower at a different point than I'd expected, but it was at the distance from the clinic that I'd expected. I just thought it would be on Main St. just before or just after Eisenhower instead of on Eisenhower just before Main.

I was more than an hour early arriving. I'd allowed the extra time for missing the transfer downtown (I could have ended up waiting half an hour there in the worst case) and for walking from Briarwood if I had to. I was fortunate that the doctor was running on schedule.

To get home, I walked up to Wolverine Tower because the 36 is the most frequently running bus into town. I'd hoped to catch the 6 instead as it would take me all the way to the central bus station (the 36 loops and never goes all the way to the station), but the 6 went by while I was still trying to cross the two six lane streets. Fortunately, there was a 36 parked at Wolverine Tower when I walked up. Once I was on the bus, I knew the hard part was done.

Once I got to campus, I considered lunch options. I decided not to buy lunch. Instead, I picked up my library holds and went to Asian Accents, a nice bakery/restaurant near the library and the bus station. I got a bunch of pastries and caught the bus home.

Cordelia was on a playdate, so I didn't have to worry about her. Even with the timing going perfectly, I couldn't have gotten home in time to pick her up from school, so I'd asked another mother to take her. Sadly, this has exposed her to a bug going around. I'm hoping that she doesn't catch it, but.... ::shrugs:: Basically, her friend has an older sister who was sick earlier this week, and her friend started complaining of being sick about the time they got home today.

I've been surprisingly mellow today given the morning. As I told the neurologist, the trip to see him isn't the hardest thing I've done this year (that would be Safety Town), but it definitely ranks in the top ten. I feel very sad to realize that something so simple could be so hard for me.

I tried increasing the Provigil today. I felt well enough after I got home to feel that the second 25 mg dose wasn't a big risk and that there wasn't anything that would confuse me about side effects. So far, I'm not noticing problems. A few more days will give me a better idea.

Now on to writing. I've edited the first 25% of the Livelongnmarry fic. I should be able to do more tonight. I think it's going to come out near forty pages. I want to finish this weekend. That probably means no final beta read, but I've pretty much run out of people to ask anyway, so....
