Hm. If you're thinking ER, then it might be worth having him see an allergist to see if he should have an epi-pen. That can save the life of an allergic person, especially if there's no easy way to get him to the ER quickly.

I don't know the details of Scott's allergy, and he might need to specifically be anaphylactic before an epi-pen can help. But an allergist could help sort that out.
